Das Boot est 2007

I did quick search of my Das Boot emails and I think I may have stumbled upon a message from the inaugural season.  This is prior to the summer 2007 season at Barnum.  I believe we have played Meade St. Station (now El Camino) every season since except for the spring we played at Carberry and the summer at Kennedy, and also the rain-out cancellation in the spring 2013.  I don't have any idea what happened to the Steamy Piles, and no recollection of our games against them.  Apparently this spring was not the first time practice was completely blown off.

Subject: Softball Schedule is Up

Das Boots - The schedule is posted.  We start the season a week from tonight at 8:30 against Meade St Station.  Will they become arch rivals, or will it be the team with I believe is one of the most clever names - The Steamy Piles.  It is a bit of a drag there are only 6 teams in our division, but on the plus side, the latest games we have are 8:30, not 9:30.

I believe our starting pitcher Ross will be missing our season opener, so I'm taking volunteers on pitching the opener.  Anyone?

Also, I general roll call is in order.  Please let me know your status for next week.  I guess if I don't hear from you, you're not coming.
